About the Campaign.
Through our campaign, you can empower Afghans, mainly women and girls, youth and persons with disabilities, to tackle local challenges through local businesses. Support our campaign to help them create innovative, locally owned solutions, start small businesses, and rebuild their communities.
Special Trust Fund for Afghanistan (STFA)
The Special Trust Fund for Afghanistan (STFA) enables UN organisations to ‘Deliver as One’ to provide basic human needs support in Afghanistan. Established in 2021, the STFA has helped over 5 million Afghans by providing essential services, skills, and jobs so they can rebuild their lives in the longer term. The crowdfunding campaign will help us to further scale the impact and scope of our ongoing work.
About the Challenges.
Afghanistan faces a crisis with over 6 million internally displaced persons due to conflict, natural disasters, and forced returns. Since September 2023, half a million Afghans have returned from Pakistan, with 900K more expected by December 2024, but most lack the means to rebuild their lives. This influx is straining the country's already limited resources and economy.

“I am extremely grateful for my job, which provides stable employment for many of us, including young people. This job is a lifeline, taking young people away from drugs and crime. The income I earn supports not only myself but also my family’s daily needs.”
